Leer Nederlands spreken in dagelijkse situaties en ontdek de Nederlandse cultuur. Deze cursus is gericht op communicatie en is geschikt voor beginners (A2). Na afloop kun je doorstromen naar niveau B1.

Are you from abroad and live in or around Arnhem and would you like to learn to speak Dutch with your neighbors, colleagues or fellow students, or have a simple conversation with your partner’s family? Would you also like to learn something about what exactly is typically Dutch? Then our Social Dutch courses are really something for you. The most important thing about these courses is to learn to communicate in Dutch in simple, everyday situations.

After this course you will be able to:
– Request information about training and courses
– Talk about your educational history and your plans for the future
– Talking about a child’s report card in primary school
– Tell us how your education and course is going
– Email a Dutch friend
– Request a day off at work via email
– Choose a cultural activity and explain your choice
– Tell about a cultural activity you did
– Read about training and courses
– Read poems and proverbs
– Talk about artwork that you like
– Write about a favorite singer, writer or movie
– Describe a special house or building
– Ask for and understand information about an education, job, profession
– Asking about someone’s work
– Tell what your working day looks like
– Apply in writing
– Look for a job
– Conducting a job interview
– Create a Dutch CV
– Writing about the content of your profession or education
– Read news items
– Listening and talking about news reports
– Report transport problems
– Talk about the weather
– Write all kinds of short letters

After this course you will know:
– The Dutch education system
– The words and verbs associated with learning and studying, and seeking information
– The words and verbs associated with cultural activities and expressing your opinion
– The words and verbs associated with work and looking for work
– The words and verbs that correspond to the current news and weather in the Netherlands

Grammar is secondary to communication skills and vocabulary. You will learn more about the future tense, the separable verbs, the imperative, the indefinite and definite pronoun, the diminutives, the adjective and the comparisons. The course also focuses on the pronunciation of Dutch and interesting aspects of Dutch culture.

After this course you can take a test to see whether you have reached level A2. After passing the test, you can register for a course to B1 (the level for integration).

The courses are on Monday and start on June 22nd 2026.
We align with Arnhem’s school holidays and Rozet’s evening opening hours.
